Let’s face it, the holiday season, marked by festivities, family gatherings, and a whirlwind of activities, can be both joyous and overwhelming. As we navigate through the chaos of holiday preparations and social obligations, it becomes crucial to prioritize self-care and maintain a sense of inner peace. One effective way to achieve this balance is through yoga.
- Stress Management:
The holiday season often brings with it a heightened level of stress due to the increased responsibilities, social expectations, and financial pressures. Yoga, with its focus on breath control and mindfulness, is an excellent stress management tool. Practices such as deep breathing, meditation, and gentle yoga poses activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing stress hormone levels. A few asanas for stress and anxiety are the downward dog, corpse pose, child’s pose and cat/cow.
